Final Reflection
While writing this project I finally had the excuse to research the problems such as greenhouse gasses, and the Paris summit. My strongest piece in this collection though I believe is my poem, writing it took so much effort to express myself and the theme I was trying to display tricky but I was finally proud when I did, using alliterations and repetitions in my craft made it feel like a true accomplishment when it was finished. When I wrote this I had the readers in mind not exactly knowing my audience at the time, I did extensive research on my topic and managed to pick out enough information for me to use with confidence but I attempted to go for a more condensed strategy while making this project, while still getting my theme and facts across but trying to get the reader interested in some of what I was talking about to get them to research for it themselves. One piece I would like to revise although it is still well written and is factual enough to captivate the reader and provide them with a condensed version of my theme, is my informational piece. I feel as if it is the weak link in my writings, not due to the information in it but due to the writing style I wrote it in, if I could I would go back and not chose to write in a newspaper article style/cheesy reporter, instead it would be a calm headed blog post about the current effects of global warming and “ how you can help save the world” something along the lines of that. Overall this project was actually a blast to write/research and made me feel like i really was creating a new paper article or writing a biography of David Suzuki for example, I really enjoyed the experience. In all actuality this project has some very true and scary statistics in it which is what makes it so strong of a piece. To know that everything in this project can help determine what our planet will look like in years to come and how we can help protect and nurse our planet back to health is what makes this project such an appealing one
